The new Education section features information from individual members of Groundation on specific topics of interest, ranging from the Roots of Rastafarianism to alternative fuels.

Diesel Diaries, the behind the scenes look at the tours from Trumpet man David "Diesel" Chachere, can be found via a linked icon on the Home and Live pages. Here I Am Released!!

Here I Am, the new full-length Groundation studio album has officially been released in Europe! Here I Am can be purchased here.

For those in the U.S. waiting patiently until the album will become available here....not to worry! We will be offering a limited amount of pre-release copies to our fans here in the states through this website. These will be made available very soon, so stay tuned.

Groundation announces coast-to-coast U.S. Tour!

We are very happy to announce that we will once again be heading out across the vast expanses of North America for a full coast-to-coast U.S. tour in September and October. This will be the U.S. portion of our Here I Am World Tour, in support of the new album coming out this summer.

For a preliminary listing of the Fall U.S. tour dates check our live page. Stay tuned, as there are many more dates still to come.

Besides hitting some of the same venues we stopped on last summer's U.S. tour, including in Austin, Virginia, Boston, & Vermont, we will be playing in bigger and better venues in New Orleans, Florida, New York City, Chicago, Colorado & California.

Special Early Online Release of Here I Am

Though Here I Am is set to be released next week internationally, we wanted to make sure our friends here in the states do not feel left out. Therefore, we will be offering a special early online U.S. release before the official U.S. release which is August 18.

Based on the reaction that Here I Am has already generated throughout the international music industry we fully expect this album to be our biggest and best yet. Stay tuned to learn more about the early online U.S. release as details are coming soon...

New European Dates Added

We gladly announce two new dates just added to this summer's World Tour. On June 30 we will play Malmo, Sweden and on July 24 we will play Kafe Antzokia in Bilbao, Spain.

New Diesel Diaries Posted

The next installment of Diesel Diaires has been posted and can be seen here. The Diaries have been a continuous project by our trumpet player David Chachere and chronicles the behind the scenes, band point of view, perspective that members of Groundation are often asked about, but rarely have the time necessary to properly explain.

This edition of the Diaries covers the first half of 2009, what has already been an historic year for the world and for Groundation. Included are anecdotes from the Here I Am studio sessions, the Bob Marley tour with Horsemouth and both tours in S. America and Greece.

New Album Release Dates

We have pushed back the release dates of our new album Here I Am slightly. The International release will now be June 23 and the U.S. release is now August 18. These are the final release dates, so get ready: Here I Am will change the way you hear Groundation.

New Links to European Store/New Merchandise

We have added links to our European store to make ordering Groundation related merchandise that much easier for our friends abroad. They are located on the home and store pages; check them out when you have a chance.

Also, expect a whole slew of new merchandise to accompany the new "Here I Am" album. All artwork, of course, is designed by long time Groundation associate Giovanni Maki and will be available as soon as the album is.

England Dates Added

We have added three dates to our summer international touring schedule in the UK. We will be playing shows in Bristol, Southampton and once again at the Jazz Cafe in London. See the dates here.

Groundation to play Outside Lands!

We are proud to announce that we have been added to the 2nd annual Outside Lands Festival, August 28-30 in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park. This event, with some 60,000 people in attendance, has quickly become one of the premier festivals on the West Coast.

We are set to play on Saturday August 29. Other acts to play over the weekend include Pearl Jam, Beastie Boys, Dave Matthews Band, Ween and, our colleagues in conscious music, Midnite, plus many, many more acts.
